BBBSA President/CEO Visits BBBS Mountain Region!
Come share your thoughts on how the community can work together and be a positive change for New Mexico’s children with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America President and CEO Pam Iorio. Two events, Santa Fe and Española, on September 9, 2016.
At 8:00 a.m. on August 3, 2016 Bigs, Littles, friends, and Staff convened at the Santa Fe Police Department to thank officers for protecting our community. Ivan, along with his Big Brother Ron, decided that it would be important to thank our local officers who put their well-being on the line to protect and serve our community. Ivan was concerned about all of the recent violence he had seen on TV and wanted to do something special… from his heart.
Angel Fire Rotary Club Plans Kentucky Derby Weekend with Proceeds going to BBBS Mountain Region
A weekend full of derby events benefiting local non profits in Angel Fire, NM.
Saturday, May 7, is Race Day, from
2- 6 pm, in the Elements Dining Room at the Angel Fire Country Club. Proceeds
from this main event will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region.
The single tickets are $40 each or $35 if purchased as part of the combo
package.
A greater need here for a village to help mentor children

have inspired us to strive for something better. For some in our
community, there’s no shortage of people willing to lend a helping hand.
For others, options are limited. In southern New Mexico, where the
rates of impoverished homes and single-parent families are well above
the national average, there is a greater need for the village to help
raise a child.
There are many wonderful programs in our community that bring neighbors together. One of them is Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was recently matched with my little brother, 13-year-old James. This is a story about their first BIG adventure.
Mentoring program is personal for state senator Bill Soules
I am honored to be a new member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Regional Board in Las Cruces and wanted to share my story as we celebrate National Mentoring Month. Being part of BBBS is personal for me. Around 1980 my mother ran a BBBS program in Cincinnati. I saw how it positively affected the lives of young people.

Big Brothers Big Sisters awarded Piñon Award for its TRIED AND TRUE Program

Big Brothers Big Sisters recognizes Bigs, Volunteer, and Partner of the Year at festive Cinco de Mayo event.
May 5, 2015 – Santa Fe, NM – Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region (BBBS) honors adult mentors as Bigs of the Year at their festive Cinco de May celebration. Awards were given to the Big Sister of the Year, Big Brother of the Year, School-based Big of the Year, and Partner of the Year. The award for Partner of the Year was given to the local Aaron’s, Inc. store, for their extreme generosity and reliable partnership with BBBS.
