Featuring Special Guests

Patricia Michaels

Patricia has been an artist her entire life.  Her awards are many, and while she may be best known for her two seasons on Project Runway, she also shown at Fashion Week in NYC, gained national recognition for Peabody Essex Museum show, and international attention after receiving the highly prestigious Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Arts and Design Award.  Patricia is currently preparing for a show at the Paris Louvre where she will be the first native woman to have a collection represented at this prestigious show.

Patricia will be re-creating seven of her past designs for Fashion-Taos Style, showing a retrospect of the progression of her work over time and giving homage to the mentors that were inspirational in her own life.  These very important people included Martha of Taos, her mother, and the School of Taos Artisans.

Trish Sereda

At 7 years old, the walls of Trish’s bedroom were covered with pictures of horses and models from Vogue and Elle magazines.  Trish grew up and became dental hygienist but also worked part time designing clothing in the other bedroom of her home.  During the rise of the fitness industry of the 90’s she went on to create a company called Hotskins Bodywear, and became successful  in about 50 countries.  She received  Designer of the Year in her field for creating the “Anatomical Fit”.

Now Trish has a workshop at her ranch in Taos full of handcrafted leather clothing, handbags and bamboo hoodies. Her business, Raw and Edgy Deerskin Designs features one of a kind, hand sewn creations reflecting her passion for creating style.   Whether you are young or older you will appreciate how these pieces feel and look on you!
